About Northside Christian Church

According to the church page, it is the church's mission to 'help people, love God, love others, and impact the world with Jesus.'

The church also narrated how it started with a group of families in 1972 in a bar. The church would have its first sanctuary in the form of an old school building that the minister's mother bought for $125.

In 2009, the church transferred to its new location, where it continues to serve God and the community to this day.

Beliefs of Northside Christian Church

The church page says that the church believes in God as the 'creator and ruler of the universe.' Further, it believes that God exists in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

As such, the church believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who offered Himself on the cross to be the sacrifice for the sins of humanity.

The church likewise maintains that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended to the Heavens with a promise to return to earth to bring a new heaven and earth.

As for the Bible, the church believes it to be the Word of God and regards it as the ultimate source of truth.

The church also believes in the importance of baptism.

It says that the word comes from the Greek word 'baptizo,' which means 'to immerse.' It adds that it is a religious practice that the church does to illustrate its commitment to Jesus Christ and as a symbol for a new life with God and His Kingdom.

For the church, the act is not just done because of the example set forth by Jesus Christ but because he commanded it through the Great Commission.

Because of this, the church also believes that the commandment is given to everyone who believes in Jesus as the Son of God.

Pastor David Garison

The church has Pastor David Garison as its spiritual leader. His LinkedIn page says that the pastor has been serving the church for almost 30 years, starting in May of 1994.

The pastor's profile revealed he is a graduate of the Dallas Christian College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music, with a major in Music and Bible.

During the pastor's time in college, he was part of the Student Council, the Choir, and the Hackey Sack Team, among others.
