Building Dedication Service for TFCC
According to the Facebook announcement, the event happened at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at the new church located at 1320 Almeda Genoa in Houston, Texas. The pastor posted that the dedication of the building is important as a way to 'sanctify' the home of the new church.
The church also asked people to 'sow into the buildout of the new building' through Cash App or Pushpay.
TFCC posted about the event with a video featuring the building under construction. The post said, 'before any construction begins, we wanted to saturate the atmosphere.' Accordingly, they did the service without walls, carpets, or a sound system and only had worship from the attendees.
About Transforming Faith Christian Center
On the TFCC Inc. YouTube channel, it says that it is a church founded and led by James D. Edwards. It adds that it is the mission of the church to "reach the lost, train the reached, and release the trained." Further, it emphasizes revival, making it the key point of its vision.
The TFCC page is currently down, but it continues to have an active social media presence. The YouTube channel has posts about the recent sermons of the church, mainly by Pastor Edwards. It also has a TikTok account with Pastor James that releases snippets of the pastor's messages.
Apart from that, the church has an Instagram and a Facebook page.
About Pastor James Edwards
His page said Pastor James Edwards grew up in Florence, Ala. It added that the pastor had a rough upbringing that saw him face poverty, abuse, neglect, and fatherlessness.
Because of all this, Pastor Edwards became a drug dealer during his teenage years. He would then be convicted and sentenced to 96 months locked up inside a federal prison facility, where the pastor had a spiritual awakening.
The pastor said that it started his obsession to explore and learn Biblical and spiritual knowledge.
After prison, the pastor continued his path with God and his new life as a motivational speaker. He would make a name for himself, becoming "The Most Valuable Motivator." He would also move to Houston and write his first book, "The D.E.A. Will Transform Your Life: A Guide to Mental Transformation."
The pastor said he encountered God, who gave him a mission to reveal the five people screaming to come out of Edwards.
According to the pastor, God told him: "You are a Visionary. You are the Epitome of Transformation. You are the Encourager of Encouragers. You are an Innovator and a Faith Giant." Through that vision, the pastor said he got the name for the church he eventually established, which is Transforming Faith.
Together with his wife, Mrs. Tiffaney Edwards, the pastor would establish the TFCC in 2014, his profile noted.
