West End Church of Christ in Houston, Texas, will soon facilitate one of its biggest events of 2022, a Young Adult Rally. All young adult members of the church are reportedly invited to the gathering. The event will take place at Sugarland Church of Christ in Sugarland, Texas. Here’s how to join.

First Century Movement Young Adult Rally

On Saturday, Jan. 22, young adults and the so-called ‘next generation of Christians’ will gather for a day of “rally, revival and planning for Church of Christ in 2022-2023.” As the year ends, the West End invited everyone to “find themselves at a crossroad.”

They want the church young leaders to “either remain a silent majority or step forward and be the light of the world.” Unfortunately, there were no more details on the said event than what is included on its Eventbrite page.

For more information, the church advises participants to contact West End’s Bro. Leroy Toliver on his email intellectualpropertoli@gmail.com. They can also contact him via phone at 832-380-0360.

How to Join?

Those interested in how to join the event can go to the church’s Eventbrite page. There, participants can get their admission tickets for free. Unfortunately, as of now, the tickets tab is already sold out.

On the payment tab, access to the event’s add-ons is also available for $20. Titled ‘It Is Not for Kings,’ the book is authored by West End’s Toliver. As mentioned, he is an author and educator that “calls out the man and woman of God in all of us.”

Young Adults No Affiliation to Church

In a 2019 report of FiveThirtyEight, millennials ages 23 to 28, have been found to be religiously unaffiliated. Study shows that these young adults are more likely to recognize themselves as with no religion than Christians.

The said study was conducted by Pew Research Center.

According to a survey made by the American Enterprise Institute, young adults tend to forget religious relationships due to several reasons. These are some of the reasons, as per the report:

  • No strong ties to religions to begin with
  • Spouses may not likely have any religious affiliation
  • Changing views about the church and religious beliefs

As also expressed, millennials were not the only ones to blame for being not religious. Turned out, their parents also play a massive role in their secular belief as they grow old.

Sugarland Church of Christ Ladies Bible Challenge 365

Aside from the Young Adults Ministry event to be held at Sugarland Church of Christ, the church also offers a Bible reading challenge. Exclusively for ladies of the church, the event lasts until the end of the year.

“This is a challenge worth participating in because God's Word strengthens us for the journey. It builds us up, it settles us, it comforts us, it is God's road map from earth to glory,” said on the website.

As mentioned, the challenge will focus on “In Chronological Order 365 Daily Readings - The Daily Bible (NIV) with commentary by  F LaGard Smith.” Congregants are also encouraged to order via Amazon for the book’s paperback copy.
