Christ Church will offer basketball and cheerleading camps to kids on Mondays. The camp will begin on Feb. 6 and will be held until Mar. 13.
Training Camp for Kids
Christ Church will open the youth basketball and cheerleading camps to kids from Kindergarten through fourth grade starting this winter, as shared through its website.
As announced on the website, participants will engage in six weeks of practice. There will be one practice per week, and the last four weeks will have a 25-minute practice each.
A 25-minute scrimmage against another team at the same grade level will follow the practice. It will happen in the Christ Church Fairview Heights Campus Gym.
The practices and scrimmages will take place on Monday evenings. Christ Church informed all that there would be a hard-cut off for basketball registrations.
It encouraged those interested to sign up early. The camp has a maximum capacity that can register based on practice times available and coaches needed.
The camp will be open to all kids, including those with special needs. Registration costs $50 per kid. The amount will cover participation in all practices and a t-shirt.
Creation Clubhouse Story Hour
Creation Clubhose Story Tour for preschoolers and a parent or grandparent is held on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in Creation Clubhouse at Christ Church Fairview Heights Campus.
Participants explore a story with Bible truths within an hour. The stories relate to a monthly theme. They will learn a memory verse, worship, and reflect on a story through a craft.
Creation Clubhouse Story Hour started on Sept. 1, 2022, and will last until May 25, 2023. As shared on the church's website, this one is an exciting time specifically geared for preschoolers with unique crafts, games, storytellers, and worship.
Christ Church informed all that they must register their kids weekly.
Church Life
According to its Facebook page, Church Life is at 339 Frank Scott Pkwy E, Fairview Heights. Christ Church gathers for worship on Sundays at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11 a.m.
Worship service also happens on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. It is a warm and inviting campus. It encouraged all to come as they are and expect to encounter the Lord.
Kids at Christ Church discover that God created them. He loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. These are possible through small groups and worship.
The Children's Ministry instructs kids how to read the Bible, depending on the Lord in all circumstances, make sensible decisions, and treat others as they would like to be treated.
Christ Church's other campuses are Collinsville/Maryville, Millstadt, and Scott.
Its Collinsville/Maryville Campus is home to 125 adults and kids in regular connection. It is a multi-generational congregation.
Members gather for worship on Sunday at 10 a.m., while The adult Bible study is at 11:15 a.m.
The campus has a midweek Going Deeper Service on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. It also provides free dinner during this midweek service.
