Concord Church prepares a major event for its senior adults, which includes a BBQ potluck and concert on July 28 at the church’s atrium, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
BBQ Potluck, Concert for Seniors
According to Concord Church's events page, the major event for senior adults will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an old–fashioned BBQ and potluck dinner.
The church will provide the meat. Two members of the church will grill brats and chicken.
Concord Church will also offer tea, water, coffee, and lemonade. Additionally, the church asks all attending to sign–up to bring a dish or two. A new local quartet will perform after the BBQ dinner.
Southern Tradition will sing gospel music. The group includes two of Concord Church’s members. The performance is at no cost.
Still, the church encourages everyone to be extra generous in giving a love offering. The offering will help them meet the expenses of their new ministry. Pastor Tim will share a short devotional for about 10 minutes to wrap – up the entire evening.
The program is expected to be finished with a prayer at 8 p.m.
As stated in the announcement, Concord Church is requesting all attending to contribute $3 to help with the cost of meat.
All interested in attending should sign up no later than Sunday, July 24.
Sign–up sheets will be available in the Connection classes. These sheets will also come with the food sign–up sheets to avoid everyone bringing the same thing.

Pastor Rusty is also in – charge of casting the church-wide vision for its ministries in collaboration with the Leadership Team. The Elders make up this team.
Pastor Rusty is married to Sherri. The couple has been married for more than 26 years. They are blessed with two children.
Sherri also serves at Concord Church. She is the Missions coordinator. She also teaches kids about missions and serves on the worship team.
On the other hand, Tim Richards has served as Pastor of Senior Adults and Discipleship. He began serving at Concord Church in 2019. Jeff Wells is the Student Pastor.
Connection Groups
Concord Church organized Connection Groups. The groups meet throughout the year. They are designed to help everyone at Concord connect with others in a similar life stage. Moreover, the groups aim to provide a community for Bible study and prayer support.
