Faith Church’s April Baptism Weekend

On the official website of Faith Church, they are encouraging everyone to be part of their gathering as a church community to celebrate the people who are set to take the next step in their walk and faith with Jesus.

According to the same website, baptisms will be held on Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24 in all St. Louis, MO Campuses, as well as at the Royal Palm Chapel in FL.

It is also mentioned on the same website that baptisms will take place following each ceremony. The church is encouraging its members to invite their friends and family to celebrate this very special day in the people’s lives with them. Remember to bring a towel and a change of clothes.

Those who are interested to be part of this event can now register on the same website.

Importance of Baptism

According to the official website of Grand Canyon University, the importance of baptism for the individual believer and the church is emphasized throughout the New Testament.

As mentioned on the same website, baptism was done by the early Christians in the manner prescribed by Christ; it indicated personal identity with Christ, entry into the Christian family, and gave a chance for a public declaration of faith.

In line with that, it is also stated on the same website that the act of baptism will serve as a constant reminder to people that they have died and continue to die to slavery and servitude to sin and have been born again in Christ.

Baptism, as per the same website represents the beginning of a journey of faith with the family of Christian believers. Baptism confirms the Christian bond of brotherly love in God's service. Baptism was mentioned by Paul as one of the elements that unite a group of Christian believers.

Referring to the same website, it is also stated that baptism has the characteristics of a public act. When a new believer is baptized, he or she is delivering a public testimony of his or her trust in Jesus in the presence of others who witness this public connection with Christ and the Christian church.

Faith Church of St. Louis

On the official Facebook page of Faith Church, it is stated that they are one church with multiple sites within the city of St. Louis. The church believes that everyone is eligible to receive God's gift of salvation, regardless of who they are or what they have done. It is a gift that is freely given and comes with no strings attached.

According to the same page, the church says it is not the result of their acts. It is the result of what God has done for the people via His Son, Jesus Christ. The church also thinks that now is the time for individuals who have never accepted God's free gift of salvation to do so.
