Get to Know Faith, First Connect

As announced on Facebook, Faith Lutheran Church, Oakville, Lead Pastor John Brunette invites all to First Connect. According to Faith, it can be overwhelming for some to be in a large church. This is true for both newcomers and those attending for years.

It may look like a lot of things are happening, but sometimes it's not easy to know their next step. First Connect is an event where everyone can meet staff, share their story, and learn how they and their family can get connected at Faith.

First Connect is also a chance to ask questions one might have about this congregation. First Connect will be on Sunday, June 26 at noon, in the church's café. Faith will provide lunch. This gathering will last an hour.

Faith, through its website, provided a link for registration to First Connect.

This church gives a preview of what it is like for one's first visit. Its website states Faith is located at 6101 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis. It offers contemporary music, combining praise music and traditional hymns.

Faith has something for all kids, youth, and adults. Everyone is encouraged to attend services wearing something they are most comfortable with.

Its praise band is a vital part of every worship service. Furthermore, Faith provides a free online doctrinal course on the Lord's Supper, Baptism, and fundamental Lutheran doctrines for adults and students.

Such courses are designed to promote an understanding of this faith community's beliefs regarding these topics. One may learn more about these courses by visiting the Doctrinal Training page.

The church welcomes all. Music and the Bible are available in braille.

About Faith Lutheran Church

"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

-      John 10:10

As shared on its website, Faith's mission is to see people connected to the extraordinary life of Jesus Christ—one person, one family, one community at a time. It aspires to witness generations transformed by the Gospel as disciples are multiplied in the home, community, and beyond.

This community for Jesus believes that He brought new life for all. Moreover, one can only experience this new life. With this, the church desires to connect people to Jesus so they can experience a new, abundant, and extraordinary life.

This vision can be made possible by joining Jesus Christ on a mission in the home and at work as one learns and plays.

As stated on the website at Faith, a disciple is defined as someone who gets the life of Jesus, experiences His life with others, and obeys Christ's command to give the life away.

Faith values focus on living in the freedom of the Gospel, creating space for others, being givers instead of takers, and taking the next step.
