Florissant Presbyterian Church will be conducting a One Great Hour of Sharing offering on their special Sunday service on Easter, April 17, 2022.

FPC’s One Great Hour of Sharing Offering

According to their post on the official Facebook page of Florissant Presbyterian Church, FPC will be collecting a One Great Hour of Sharing contribution on Easter. This offering benefits individuals all across the world. World Kitchen assists refugees in Ukraine.

It is also mentioned in the same Facebook post that Presbyterian Disaster Assistance assists persons affected by natural catastrophes. It provides food, clothing, and shelter to those in need.

As per the same Facebook post, people may contribute to these efforts by making a gift at the Easter service on April 17 at 10:15 a.m. service or by making an online donation with PayPal.

Importance of Church Offerings

On the official website of Learn Religions, everything that people own and possess is a gift from God. As a result, when they donate, they are merely offering him a little bit of the abundance He has already provided to His people.

It is also stated on the same website that giving is a way for individuals to express their gratitude and thanks to God. It springs from a worshipful heart that acknowledges that whatever people have and offer already belongs to the Lord.

As per the same website, it is also stated that God commanded Old Testament Christians to contribute a tithe, or tenth since this ten percent constituted the first and most important share of whatever they possessed. The New Testament does not provide a percentage for donating, but merely instructs each person to contribute "in accordance with his wealth."

In line with that, it is also mentioned on the same website that God desires people to donate because He knows that those who give generously to Him and others will be benefited. Giving is a paradoxical kingdom concept in that it benefits the donor more than the recipient.

Based on the same website, Giving is intended to be a joyful expression of thankfulness to God from the heart, not a legalistic necessity. God promises to reward individuals in excess of what they give, as well as according to the measure with which they give. People who are parsimonious in their generosity, on the other hand, prevent God from blessing people's lives.

Florissant Presbyterian Church of St. Louis

Florissant Presbyterian Church, according to its official website, is a meeting place where people may discover camaraderie, education, enrichment, and worship. The church accepts its obligation to serve people in the same way that Jesus did.

According to the same website, they believe God is the creator and ruler of the universe. Throughout eternity, He has existed as three distinct individuals: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and one God.

On the same website, the church also believes that man is made in the spiritual image of God, with the same traits as him. He is the most significant aspect of God's creation. Although man has immense potential for good, his character is marred by a rebellious attitude toward God known as "sin," which separates him from God.

In line with that, it is also mentioned on the same website that the church also believes in the power of God's words contained in the Bible. The Bible is God's word to all mankind, according to them. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Those interested in learning more about the church may do so by visiting its official website and other social media profiles.
