Florissant Presbyterian Church of St. Louis is calling for school supplies donations as they continue their School Supply Drive this February

Florissant Presbyterian Church’s School Supply Drive

According to their official Facebook page, the church is currently looking for people who want to donate #2 pencils, blue or black pens, and highlighters for this month of February. 

It is also mentioned on the same site that the school supplies that will be collected will be given to the students at Hazelwood and Ferguson-Florissant who are in need of these supplies for their studying.

It is also stated in the same post that their January School Supply drive has been successful and they were able to collect a lot of supplies to give to the students. 

Based on the same Facebook post, donations can be dropped off supplies at the church from Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, or on Sunday before or after the service. Those who are not available on the dates and times mentioned can simply message the church to arrange something. 

It is also stated in the same post that those people who want to donate but do not have the supplies on hand and do not have the time for shopping can simply send cash donations for it is gratefully accepted.

According to the official website of Florissant Presbyterian Church, the church is a gathering place where one can find companionship, education, enrichment, and worship. The church embraces its responsibility to extend out in service to others, just as Jesus did.

It is stated on the same site that they believe that God is the universe's creator and ruler. He has lived in three individuals throughout eternity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God and co-equal.

The church, according to the same site, also believes that Man is created in the spiritual image of God, to have the same characteristics as him. He is the most important part of God's creation. Although man has enormous potential for good, he is tarnished by a disobedient attitude toward God known as "sin," which divides him from God.

It is also mentioned that one of the beliefs of the church is that the Son of God is Jesus Christ. He and the Father are co-equal. By dying on a cross, Jesus lived a sinless human life and sacrificed himself as the ideal sacrifice for all men's sins. He ascended to the glories of heaven and will return to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

More information on the same site states that the church also believes in the power of the words of God written in the Bible. For them, God's word to all men is the Bible. It was authored by human authors with the help of the Holy Spirit's supernatural direction. For Christian beliefs and living, it is the ultimate source of truth. It is truth without any mixture of error since it was inspired by God.
