Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis
According to their official Facebook page, the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis was established in October 1973. Just like any other church, MCCGSL started small, with only a few members who believes in their vision and mission.
As stated on their Facebook page, their very first service drew only ten people. Despite the very low number, those ten people who have attended were full of faith, vision, and resolve to make a dream into a reality.
Based on the same page, the church is dedicated to bridging the gaps that divide people as the church strives to be an inclusive church in how they refer to God and humanity, as well as in their attitudes about gender, age, race, physical or mental ability, and sexual orientation.
According to them, they are a Christian community that is still learning to love and care for one another and their surroundings. They hope to teach others about living life as exemplified by Jesus Christ as they declare Jesus' incredible love for ALL mankind.
