South County Bible Church conducted a three-part, a one-day training seminar on delivering the truths of God’s Word to children. Rachel Johnson served as the speaker for the event on Sunday, Sept. 17.
Rachel Johnson is the head of the elementary age group training team at South County Bible Church. She is also the founder of “Faithful in Small Things.” The church served as the venue for this gathering from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Children’s Ministry with Intentionality
South County Bible Church announced the children’s ministry training seminar through its website. The church invited all to join the Children’s Ministry with Intentionality workshop.
Johnson provided insights and training to participants. Johnson is the head of the elementary age group training team. She also established “Faithful in Small Things.”
Faithful Small Things is an independent producer of curriculum for kids’ ministries. Johnson delivered a three-part seminar.
Children’s Ministry with Intentionality seminar aimed to help adults better share the truths of the Lord’s Word with kids. This event was free and welcomed the public.
South County Bible Church provided light lunch during the event.
Session 1 was about Connecting with Kids. It shared and highlighted the “Techniques for forming real and authentic connections with the children in your classroom.”
Session 2 was “Building Kids’ Critical Thinking Skills: Techniques for getting children to ask the big “Why” questions and helping them discover the power of the Word for themselves.”
The final session was about Telling Dynamic Bible Stories. It further discussed techniques and provided hands-on training for sharing Bible stories to kids uniquely and engagingly.
South County Bible Church required signing up for the Children’s Ministry with Intentionality seminar. The church used the number of sign-ups to determine how much lunch it needed to prepare.
