St. Joseph Parish of Cottleville will go on a picnic. The church prepares a lineup of activities for this year's parish picnic beginning July 8. St. Joseph Parish also has a pre-sale of items for this parish picnic.
Picnic, Weekend Fun
As shared on its website, St. Joseph Parish of Cottleville invites all for its parish picnic. The event will start from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on July 8. The activities for the parish picnic's first day include performances by Alex Rich and DJing, and the BBQ tent will be grilling kabobs.
Everyone can enjoy the rides, games, and food booths. O'Kane's will be serving nachos, tacos, chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole. Lizzy Lou's Shave Ice will be shaving ice in front of the concession stand through the next day, Saturday.
The Ski Soda and craft beer trailers will be returning for the parish picnic.
Meanwhile, on July 9, the event will run from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Rides, games, and booths are open. The second day will be jam-packed. Smoked BBQ from Anna's Flying Pig will be served all day with carry-outs available.
The bounce houses will be open inside the gymnasium until 7 p.m. Other highlights of this parish picnic are the performances by the St. Joseph Parish Picnic Band and the St. Joseph Parish Picnic Jazz Band. The Spunky Beans twisty balloon creations will be in the gymnasium.
Then, the Clarkson School of Irish Dance will perform in the cafeteria. There will be live music at 8 p.m. Last Gnome Standing will grace the event with its presence.
The final day for this parish picnic is July 10. The celebration will begin at noon and end at 6 p.m. The church will hold its traditional chicken and beef dinner in the parish hall.
St. Joseph Parish also encourages everyone to view the beautiful quilts and crafts in the vestibule. Moreover, it also requests all to consider donating one store-bought pie for the parish picnic event.
St. Joseph Parish will draw the Mega Cash Raffle drawing to conclude the event.
The parish is conducting a presale of items for the event, including picnic armbands, game tickets, and raffle tickets. St. Joseph Parish is searching for volunteers to make this event a success. It asks everyone to consider at least a two-and-a-half-hour shift.
Holy Hour for Unborn
As shared on its website, St. Joseph Parish invited everyone to join in prayer for courage and wisdom for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. The Holy Hour for the unborn happened on a Sunday, June 12, at 3 p.m., in church.
