St. Paul Lutheran Church, School hold activities embracing new school year

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School welcomed the new school year with a Back-To-School Party, prayer, and Mass. Students at St. Paul’s were prayed for and treated to plenty of fun as the school year began.

The events happened on the school and church grounds.

Welcome Back-To-School Party, Church Service

St. Paul Lutheran Church shared about the Welcome Back-To-School Party through its Facebook page on Aug. 15.

As stated on Facebook, all St. Paul’s Lutheran School students had a wonderful time during the outdoor Welcome Back-To-School Party. The friends and families attended the event.

All were refreshed in fellowship together. Attendees had the opportunity to meet new friends and visit classrooms.

The congregation had time to catch up over burgers. Children were treated to ice cream and a bouncy slide.

Principal Dawn Walker, Director Bev Gruenwald, and teachers at Early Childhood Center gathered that morning under the cross to start the new ECC academic year. They prayed for every child at the school.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School welcomed more than 200 elementary students at the beginning of its 174th academic year. All gathered in the Chapel as one family of faith.

Pastor Thomas shared a message about beginnings and endings. The message was applicable for school days and learning.

Pastor Thomas emphasized salvation through Jesus Christ. As stated on the church’s Facebook page, parents enjoyed fellowship and refreshments after the service.
