It is also stated on the same website that the church also believes that through taking part in a variety of events and activities, individuals may aid and support God's people.

The Rock Church of St. Louis’ Core Beliefs

According to the Rock Church's official website, there are nine basic principles:

  • God. As believed by The Rock Church, He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in three distinct identities.
  • People. People were created in God's spiritual image to have the same personality as He has. People are seen as God's most important creation and commitment.
  • Eternity. Humans were created with the power to live indefinitely. They will either spend eternity isolated from God as a result of their sin, or they will spend eternity with God as a result of repentance and redemption.
  • Jesus Christ. The Son of God is Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a spotless human life and died on the cross to give the perfect atonement for all people's sins.
  • Salvation. God bestows redemption to humans as a gift. A person enters eternal life when he accepts Jesus Christ into his life via faith.
  • Security for all time. Salvation is sustained by God's goodness and might, not by the Christian's own efforts. This certainty comes from God's grace and sustaining power.
  • The Holy Spirit.
  • The Bible. It is the ultimate source of truth for Christian beliefs and practices.
  • The church's mission. The genuine church is made up of all persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ and are joined together in the body of Christ, of which He is the head.

On the same website, The Rock Church’s Lead Pastor Dr. Timothy Cowin stated that The Rock Church aims to be a church where people will be able to experience the amazing presence and power of God, and not just the religion itself.
