Webster Hills United Methodist Church joins other churches for day of concert

Webster Hills United Methodist Church (UMC) collaborated with other churches in hosting the Progressive Organ Recital. The concert took place on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. and ended with a reception.

Progressive Organ Recital

Webster Hills United Methodist Church announced the Progressive Organ Recital through its Facebook page. It hosted a 20-minute recital together with other churches, including First Presbyterian Kirkwood, Kirkwood Baptist, and Webster Groves Christian.

The schedule provided a travel time in between performances.

Webster Hills United Methodist Church invited everyone to these free concerts. The church was delighted to have John Cargile as its guest pianist. 

The concert started at 2 p.m. at Kirkwood UMC. Then, attendees were off to First Presbyterian at 100 E Adams for the recital at 2:50 p.m. 

Another performance was scheduled at Kirkwood Baptist Church for 3:30 in the afternoon. Webster Groves Christian Church welcomed guests for the recital at 4:15 p.m. Finally, it was Webster Hills' turn at 4:50 p.m.

A short reception happened at Webster Hills United Methodist Church following the concert. It served as a wrap-up for the Progressive Organ Recital.

Deanna Jent is the Pastor of Visitation and Care. Connie Haley serves as Music Associate and Belle Choir Director. Andy Waggoner is the Director of Worship Arts. 

Drive Thru Prayer 

Webster Hills United Methodist Church invited all to stop by its Drive Thru Prayer. The church would love to pray for everyone during hard times. 

Everyone can come to its Drive Thru Prayer on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to drive their car and tell how the church can pray for them.

Then, the one who asked for prayers and some church members will pray together. The chapel is also open if one wants some quiet prayer time. 

The last Drive Thru Prayer happened on Tuesday, Sept.13. 

Fall Kick-Off 

Webster Hills United Methodist Church held its Fall Kick-Off on Sunday, Sept. 11. The church encouraged its congregation not to miss out on this beautiful day. The Fall Kick-Off started with giving kids Bibles during worship. 

After worship, the church had lunch together and spent time on a service project. The Youth Group launched at 6 p.m. with an escape room and pizza party.
