An 18-year-old Christian living in Houston, TX, recently died from a car accident.

He was one of the three valet casualties working that night on Fairdale Lane. The suspect was immediately arrested by the police but not yet identified.

Texas Car Accident

On Friday, Oct. 1, at about 10:30 p.m., three valet workers from Prospect Park Sports Bar and Kitchen died in a car accident. The victims were identified as Nick Rodriguez and 22-year-old Eric Orduna. The youngest of them all was named Fnan Measho, 18.

As reported via KHOU 11, Measho was a member of the Eritrean Tewadeo Orthodox Church. It is a Christian Orthodox church, mainly for the youth.

David Woldu, who spoke on behalf of Measho's family, described the victim as a "role model for the kids." Measho was reportedly known in his church as a Bible study teacher.

Despite his young age, the victim was already the "breadwinner of the family," told Woldu. The report said that Measho's family immigrated to Houston from an African country called Eritrea.

Since then, the 18-year-old valet dreamed of becoming a police officer in the city. He attended the University of Houston-Downtown while being a valet at night.

When asked about Measho's parents, Woldu said that the victim's father is "chronically ill." Thus, Measho's mother is the only one raising his other three siblings.

How Did Accident Happen?

According to a report from ABC 13, a still unidentified man crashed his car at the 6200 block of Fairdale. The bar where the three valets were working that night was nearby the accident.

There, the police also found the three bodies of the victims. All were reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

The police further explained that the suspect's vehicle even "went through a ditch and hit a pole" before stopping.

As narrated, before the accident, the suspect was seen by the police "doing donuts in a parking lot." The phrase 'doing donuts' means making the car spin in circles.

The Houston police reportedly stopped the driver. But, he refused and started to drive away. As they went to catch him, the suspect "lost control" of his vehicle.

The three valets were reportedly outside the bar at the time of the incident.

Sean Teare, Harris County District Attorney's Office Chief of Vehicular Crimes, said in KHOU 11 that driver could be intoxicated at the time of the accident. The police officer noted that the suspect could face three felony murder charges once on trial.

Fundraising Made for Victims

Rose, Orduna's mother, told ABC 13 that the incident should not have happened to their kids. She described the victims as "very good kids" who were friends with each other.

"What did he feel, did he feel that or just go. It hurts me so bad," said Rose in the Click2Houston report.

To help provide the victims with burial, the families of Orduna and Measho set up fundraising. The Prospect Park, where the victims worked, also did a balloon release on Monday, Oct. 4, in honor of them.
