The Story Church in Houston, Texas, is currently holding a 'Summer Bible Study' series on the Book of Daniel.

As per its website, the church holds a weekly event every Wednesday from June 29 to Aug. 3 at the church premises. During the series, the pastors of The Story Church give an in-depth explanation of the book.

It will talk about the visions and imagery in the book, as well as the historical context that comes along with it.

For those with children, the church also provides childcare at its Museum District Campus.

The Story Church

The Story Church is a church that strives to lead non-religious people to Jesus Christ. For the church, religion provides a limitation as it is about good behavior and fear and that Jesus is the better way.

It follows a "Statement of Faith" that gives the details of the beliefs of the church. This includes the church's values, the gospel's core message, and its understanding of sin, among other things.

Currently, the church is on a mission to be a multi-site church planting church that reaches 5,000 people.

The church has a stern belief in Jesus Christ as God incarnate and not just a teacher or a prophet. It believes that Jesus Christ lived and died for humanity.

The church started when the founders, Ps. Eric and Geovanna Huffman moved their family to Houston to open a church. The church's name comes from its views on the Bible as a story of God's love and humanity's salvation.

In 2015, the church officially opened with its first worship service. Just a year after, the church already had its own building to meet the demands of the growing congregation.

The church experienced its greatest challenge during Hurricane Harvey, making it pull through together. The church also honored the efforts of its members who were part of the volunteer group, Cajun Navy Foundation.

Today, the church offers four services every Sunday with their team. Testimonies are a vital part of the services of the church, and it allows its members to come to the stage to share how God changed their lives.

According to Geovanna Huffman, the church wants to show people that everyone is included in the story and that the church has all the ministries that can provide them with all the opportunities.

Leaders of The Story Church

Eric Huffman is The Story Church's lead pastor. Besides serving his congregation every Sunday, he is also the host of the Maybe God Podcast. He is also a contributor for the KSBJ and NGen Evening Shows.

The pastor is also the author of the books "40 Days of Doubt" and "Scripture and Skeptic."

Geovanna Huffman is the executive pastor of the church. She was ordained by the United Methodist Church in 2011.

She is also a church planter and planting coach passionate about guiding people to discover God's love. She graduated from the Centenary College and the Saint Paul School of Theology.
