Abundant Church will host a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community on Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 525 Alby St., in Alton, IL.

Abundant Church encouraged all who need a meal for Thanksgiving to visit he Salvation Army on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
As shared on its website, the church will host a free, hot, sit-down meal of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and dessert.
The church said there will be no registration fee and those who want their free Thanksgiving meal can show up on the said date.
It will also feature kids' crafts, musical entertainment, and the opportunity to connect with the entire community.
Abundant Church also encouraged all to sign up as volunteers or to donate any amount. It provided a link for signing up and giving donations for the dinner.
Salvation Army is an international and evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its mission is to share the Gospel of Christ and to address human needs in His name without discrimination.

Through its members, the church supports 50 missionaries and organizations across the globe.
Its local missions support The Salvation Army, One Day to Feed the World, Speed the Light, and Convoy of Hope. Other local missions it supports are the Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge, Community Hope Center, Thrive, and All God's Children Shall have Shoes.
