Managing Grief during Holidays
Webster Hills United Methodist Church announced, through its website, it would give a free presentation about managing grief during the holidays.
The church said it would help all explore practical ways to reduce stress and anxiety and make the holiday season a time of healing.
It partnered with The Listening Place for a free presentation on managing grief during the holidays.
Webster Hills United Methodist Church encouraged all interested in the presentation to check out The Listening Place through the internet.
As shared on its website, The Listening Place offers a confidential space for everyone to share their story of loss. It has trained grief support volunteers who can give their time and listen as one share the pain and loss.
The Listening Place believes that grief is a natural response to any loss, from the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the loss of stability following unemployment, illness, or significant life transitions. The place welcomes all, no matter what loss they are experiencing.
It also said it will listen with compassion and encourage clients on their journey toward healing.
It assured its clients that their presence and stories would remain strictly confidential between them and the Listening Companions.
The organization and the Listening Companions assured they will not reveal what you shared unless the clients' and others' safety is at risk.
The Listening Place is a new place offering help and a listening ear to those who grieve, which was launched in 2022.
It expressed gratitude to those who stopped by the Webster Hills UMC Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, Oct. 16.
The Listening Place informed all that the Pumpkin Patch was open daily through the end of October. It encouraged everyone to donate in support of its mission.
