Faith Oakville will hold a gathering for its Young Adults group with a nationally recognized scientist, Joshua Swamidass MD, Ph.D. The group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 3, at Crave Coffeehouse at 6 p.m.

Faith Oakville announced through its website that Joshua Swamidass, MD, Ph.D., will be a guest at the church. The renowned scientist will share his research and expertise regarding how science relates to the issues of race and justice for Christians.
The Young Adults group will learn from him over food and drinks. Faith Oakville will provide childcare during the event.
As announced on the website, the meeting will run from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Swamidass is a faculty fellow with The Craver Project, which empowers Christian students and faculty to serve and connect university, church, and society.
Faith Oakville also provided details about this event through Facebook. It encouraged people to register for the event.
According to the church, it would be an excellent opportunity to meet other young people from other churches and communities.
It provided a link for registration and shared that it would help them plan accordingly.
Celebration Sunday
Faith Oakville will host the Celebration Sunday gathering will be on Sunday, Oct. 30. It encouraged everyone to purchase meals during the event
Soulcial Kitchen food trucks will be at Celebration Sunday.
According to the announcement, if one bought a meal, they will have the chance to purchase tokens at the food trucks for $8. They said this amount will help reduce the levels of food insecurity in the community as one token is equivalent to one hot meal.
