The LeadaChild bike riders are biking 400 miles from Kansas City to St. Louis for their annual Bike4aChild event. This event is currently ongoing.

The ride started last June 25 and will end on June 30. Blessed Savior Lutheran Church asks its congregation to support the Bike4aChild event as they stop by some churches in the area.

Blessed Savior, LeadaChild – Bike4aChild

Through the newsletter of their church, Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, Mary and Don Geis provided details about the LeadaChild, Bike4aChild event. The congregation is encouraged to support the event as the bike riders stop at a few churches along the way.

As stated in the newsletter, Mary’s brother–in–law, Pastor Bill Geis, is a riding team member. The pastor thought Blessed Savior Lutheran Church would be a great church for the bike riders to stop at.

On Wednesday, June 29, Bike4aChild will ride from St. Charles to Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in O’Fallon. This ride is about 64 miles.

Through the church’s newsletter, Mary and Don Geis provided various ways their congregation could help the bike riders. As stated in the newsletter, on June 29, Blessed Savior Lutheran Church will host a fellowship meal with its congregation.

There will be a short presentation about LeadaChild and an opportunity to meet the volunteers. The meal is free. As shared in the newsletter, Noah Geis will be preparing the meal. The church is not asking for donations but asks for an audience with which LeadaChild can share information about its mission.

Blessed Savior Lutheran Church members can also serve as host homes for showers. There are 15–20 riders. This number means three to four homes besides the Geis and Lintvedt households are needed.

According to the announcement, riders will arrive at the church from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those who can host homes are encouraged to contact Mary Geis. Finally, a sign-up sheet will be available in the Narthex for the fellowship meal.
