Father’s Day is coming up, and Central Christian Church is preparing a fun event for all dads. Father’s Day Cookout will be on June 19, Sunday, from noon until 4 p.m. The church invites the whole family to this special event.

Father’s Day Cookout

As shared on its calendar, Central Christian Church requests all to save the date for Father’s Day Cookout. The church invites families for a “Grilling Good Time Celebration.” It will be held on the church’s grounds.

It's worship day, and families can stay for the Father's Day Cookout. The Central Christian Church will provide meat, condiments, lemonade, iced tea, & tableware. It requests everyone to bring a side dish and dessert to share.

According to the announcement, if the weather permits, everyone can enjoy the outdoor activities that the church prepared. These activities include pickleball, 9 – square in the air, ladder ball, and other outdoor games.

The church encourages everyone to stay as long as they like while food and the fun last. As stated in the announcement, the Central Christian Church will celebrate the past, present, and future dads on this day.

Lock-In, Out of Schools

Last June 3 – 4, the Youth Group participated in Lock-in. As shared by the Central Christian Church, the goal of this event is to stay awake most of the night.

The Lock-in started at 7 p.m. on June 3 and continued until 9 a.m. on June 4. During the Lock – in the participants played games. As announced by the church, some games could be messy, and it suggested that participants bring an extra pair of clothes.

Other games were in low–light settings. The church prepared some food for supper and breakfast. They were encouraged to bring snacks but no energy drink.

The Lock-in also featured movies to view, and all were family rated.

There was karaoke and some board games and cards, though gambling is not allowed. Boys and girls slept in different rooms.

All were required to attend worship. During the Lock-in, organizers blocked off some rooms in the church from use. Central Christian Church provided adult supervision throughout the entire church.

Leaders during the Lock-in were expected to be treated with respect, as stated in the church’s announcement.
