Central Presbyterian Church to hold weekend missions in October

Central Presbyterian Church will hold the Missions Weekend 2022 from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 14 to 16. The church organized various events for the entire weekend.

Missions Weekend 2022

Central Presbyterian Church, through Ceci Bartels, its Mission’s Leadership Team and Communication Chair, provided details about Missions Weekend 2022. The chair made an announcement addressed to the congregation through the church’s website

As stated on the website, Central Presbyterian Church expressed its excitement to tell everyone about its plans for the event.

Homecoming, Night of Music  

Central Presbyterian Church will host a casual “homecoming” theme event in its Fellowship Hall. All, old friends, and people new to the church will have time to welcome and talk to some of its missionaries.

The church will provide snacks and entertainment. Attendees will witness music from various parts of the globe.

Central Christian School and Children’s Choirs will be the first musical performers. The Nepalese praise band and a group from the Iranian church will also perform. 

The night will continue at the sanctuary for the first concert series program of this season. 

The children’s choir will begin the concert.

A Ukrainian youth group and Michael Sust and family will also perform on stage. Dr. Igor Yaremchuk, who is also from Ukraine, will deliver a message.

The Friday evening will end with praise and worship music from the church’s very own band.

Saturday Dinner with Missionaries 

Central Presbyterian Church announced at 6 p.m., Clay’s sermon series “At the Table” will be hosted over dinner at the church's campus.

It is a free event, but registration is required and slots are limited.

Attendees will have dinner with the church’s missionaries from the Philippines, the Yaremchuks from Ukraine, and Michael Miller from the Micah Project in Honduras.

Mission’s Lunch

Central Presbyterian Church will wrap up Missions Weekend with its Sunday worship services. The congregation will have a chance to learn how the Lord’s transformative work is changing the world. 

Yaremchuk will deliver his testimonies and a sermon. 

Missionaries will visit classes during the Sunday school hour. Both adults and kids will have the chance to get close and personal with one of the church’s missionaries.

Central Presbyterian Church will have the Mission’s Lunch after the second service. It will be at the Fellowship Hall. It will serve lunch for all. 

There would be updates, introductions, fun, and prizes during the Mission’s Lunch. It also invited all to join the Mission’s Team on the second Tuesday of October. 

The meeting will be at the Parlor at 6:30 p.m. The group prays together, provides support, builds relationships, and shares the Lord’s work around the community and the globe. 

Central Presbyterian Church 

According to its Facebook page, it is located at 7700 Davis Dr., Clayton. The church seeks to transform lives, communities, and the world through renewing Christ's work for the glory of God.
