City Hope St. Louis encouraged all to lend their hands to the homeless during the recent extreme heat in St. Louis. It announced that its Hydration Station is still open through its Facebook page

It was still available for donation drop-offs. City Hope St. Louis requested donations of liquids - water, any flavor of juice, and Gatorade. As stated on Facebook, all donations will benefit the organization’s six locations.

This distribution will ensure that its unhoused guests stay hydrated through the hot summer. City Hope St. Louis reminded everyone that giving is not a duty but a privilege.

This organization extended its gratitude to Canes for its donation to  Hydration Station.

The donations included meals and items for the unhoused guests. As stated on its Facebook page, City Hope St. Louis informed everyone that it still accepts donations for the unhoused. Those who want to donate can drop off all items at 4001 Maffitt Ave., St. Louis.

Cash donations were also accepted through its cash app. Anyone who opted for a cash donation should write “Hydration Station” in the memo box.

About City Hope St. Louis

“Homelessness is not a crime."

As per its website, Bishop Dr. Michael Robinson of Destiny Family Church and Jennifer Turner founded City Hope St. Louis in 2019. This organization provides immediate shelter and resources to homeless individuals or those at risk of becoming homeless in the St. Louis metropolitan region.

The mission of City Hope St. Louis is to end homelessness while loving people and having an impact on the world. Every year from November to March, it operates several winter warming centers throughout the St. Louis area.

Furthermore, this organization has developed transitional housing and workforce development programs. These programs have successfully assisted several homeless individuals in securing sustainable employment and permanent housing.

As stated on its website, City Hope St. Louis had developed a strong sense of family. Its mantra is, “Homelessness is not a crime.” In line with this, it ensures that it works to give its guests a comfortable, peaceful environment, great meals, and fun activities.

Most importantly, City Hope St. Louis staff treat all guests respectfully and give exceptional service. City Hope St. Louis was gifted with Karen’s House. Through this, the organization can expand its scope of services.

City Hope St. Louis targets to continue the fantastic work Karen House has offered the community since 1977.  According to City Hope, St. Louis with Karen’s House can now offer longer-term housing, develop more programs, and invest more time per individual while guiding them through their journey to independence.

As stated on Destiny Church’s website, it established a new organization – City Hope STL. The purpose of this organization is to provide winter shelter for people currently facing homelessness.

City Hope STL will operate in multiple locations, namely 4371 Cook Avenue—the primary site—and 351 Chambers Road.
