The Township of Stookey gives the Stookey Standout award to St. Matthew United Methodist Church. This June, the Town of Stookey recognizes St. Matthew United Methodist Church for its support of the community.

As shared on its Facebook page, the Town of Stookey acknowledges the efforts of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in helping make this town a great community.
The church was informed of the recognition through a letter sent by Mark P. Bagby, Stookey Township Supervisor. The town awards the church with the Stookey Standout recognition.
This award is given to St. Matthew United Methodist Church for its essential role in the Ogles Neighborhood Watch. Moreover, this award appreciates the church’s welcome in allowing the group to utilize its facilities for events.
St. Matthew United Methodist Church continuously hosts the Blessing Box on its church grounds. Additionally, it remains very involved in the issues concerning the neighborhood and events.
The Township of Stookey extends its gratitude to St. Matthew United Methodist Church. It invites the church to its next board meeting for recognition at a Stookey Standout.
This meeting will be on July 5 at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 313 Eiler Rd. Belleville.
