Concord Church will host a gathering called "GriefShare" on Monday, Jan. 23, to show its support to widows.

GriefShare: Loss of A Spouse Winter 2023

Concord Church announced details of its winter season for GriefShare, a one-night session, through its website. It acknowledged that the death of a loved one could cause unique pain.

The church added widows do not only lose a loved one, but also get affected by their loss in their entire lifestyle.

The meeting aims to provide an honest perspective on dealing with grief, new household responsibilities, connecting with others, establishing a support network, and finding the strength to move forward.

Concord Church informed all that prior attendance to GriefShare is not required.

According to its website, GriefShare empowers churches to provide lay-led grief support groups. It's a biblical-centered and Christ-focused grief support ministry.

The website shared that churches rely on GriefShare because, since 1996, it has equipped over 17,000 churches worldwide. Its materials feature 46 leading Christian experts on grief recovery topics.

Additionally, the church said it provides life-changing effects.

Church leaders and staff found GriefShare to be a consistently effective way of helping grievers return to their feet.

Another testimony from churches is that as members heal, some want to help conduct GriefShare. Thus, creating the potential for a self-perpetuating ministry.

It offers free, continuous, and email support through its experienced ministry coach team. Its LeaderZone is its private leader website.

The church gives its leaders additional resources and has a forum that enables them to connect and share with other leaders.
