First Baptist Church O'Fallon (FBCO) will hold "A Great, Big Bible Adventure" event for first graders and their parents. The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 4:30 p. m. until 6 p.m.
Parents were encouraged to sign-up their kids for the gathering.

First Baptist Church O'Fallon invited first graders and their parents for a special gathering on Sunday, Sept.18. It prepares for "A Great, Big Bible Adventure." The church provided details through its website.
It asked parents and kids to prepare for the best adventure of their lives. They are encouraged to join and go on an adventure together as they journey through the church to find God's Word's best treasure.
According to the announcement, the children will receive a brand new Kid's Bible in the evening. Then, the organizers will challenge parents and kids to use the Bible and complete different challenges.
The kid and parent team will go around the FBCO campus for "A Great, Big Bible Adventure." Registration for this event closed at midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
First Bible Church O'Fallon reminded everyone that at least one parent or family member must accompany the child during the event. KidsLife Ministry at FBCO serves infants through fifth-grade kids and their parents.
The ministry's mission is to help kids and families by showing them that they can know God, grow in His ways, and tell others about Him. It aspires to partner with parents in guiding their kids to teach them to love Jesus passionately and follow Him forever.
First Baptist Church O'Fallon established KL 5.0 Preteen Ministry to help address the unique challenges of fifth graders. The ministry serves as the bridge between the Children's Ministry and Student Ministry.

As per its website, Dr. Doug Munton is the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church O'Fallon. He has been serving the church since 1995. Munton is an author and has written four books. He was the past President of the Illinois Baptist State Association.
Munton was also the first Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention.
A group of pastors joined him in leading this community of Christ followers.
The team includes Skip Leininger, the Associate Pastor and Minister of Pastoral Care. Dr. Obie Dalrymple is the Pastor to Young Adults & Personnel.
