First Baptist Maryville to hold concert for Christmas season

First Baptist Maryville will host a Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 9, at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The church encouraged its congregation and community to watch the concert.

Christmas Choir Concert 

First Baptist Maryville will kick off the Christmas season with a concert. The church provided details about the concert through its website

As shared in the announcement, the concert would be a night of fellowship and worship. The church assured everyone that they would not want to miss the Christmas Choir Concert. There will be two performance times. 

One may choose to come to the 4:30 p.m. concert. It includes a catered dinner.

Christmas Choir Concert will have another performance at 7 p.m. This schedule will include dessert. This one is a free event, but the church requires registration. 

First Baptist Maryville informed all that space is limited for attending the Christmas Choir Concert. It encouraged those interested in making their reservation soon.

About First Baptist Maryville

According to its Facebook page, it began as a group of 36 people. They met in a small church building on Main Street. Currently, First Baptist Maryville has 1,500 people attending its service every Sunday. It has multigenerational worship services, engaging and practical messages, and various ways to get involved. 

It has something for everyone. It identifies its community as where one is welcomed, loved, and encouraged- a place to start over. The church would love to meet all on Sundays. Its services are at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. 

First Baptist Maryville encouraged all to visit its website and learn more about the church. 

As shared on its website, the church has hundreds of visitors every year searching for a place to start over. According to First Baptist Maryville, these individuals receive acceptance and encouragement, making them return weekly.  

First Baptist Maryville claimed people of all ages connect and experience the kindness of Christian love. It encouraged those who have questions about the church to feel free to ring during regular hours from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

It added there is no dress code to follow at First Baptist Maryville. All who come to church are dressed in whatever they are comfortable with. On a typical weekend, men attend church wearing jeans, and some wear ties. 

As stated on the website, the Lord focuses on the heart, not the clothes one wears. The church tries to do the same thing.

A typical service at First Baptist Maryville starts with an announcement video. 

A personal welcome and greeting come after the announcement. Then, the worship team takes the stage and leads the congregation to sing lively yet worshipful songs.

Next, one of the pastors will discuss developing a closer relationship with the Lord from a practical perspective.  

After the pastor’s talk, some attendees may respond by coming forward to pray. They may also visit with one of the pastoral advisors. A typical service runs a little over an hour.
