The church’s website announced that there would be live music, various desserts for sale, and beer and wine.

Besides, they emphasized that everyone would have a great time.

In addition, the church noted that tickets for adults are $10 and $6 for children. They explained that they could avail of the tickets before the event on Sundays after Church Services at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Also, they said members could buy the tickets at the church office or the door during office hours.

Meanwhile, the website posted that they need volunteers to help cook the dishes on the menu. Some meals include Falafel, Hummus with Pita, Veggie Chili, and Mediterranean Salad.

They would prepare Kids Style Mac-n-Cheese, dolmades, green beans, and apple sauce, as further mentioned.

Church’s Special Events, Fundraisers

According to another section, First Unitarian Church has several special programs and fundraisers yearly. They said they have a biannual auction and the Hanging of the Greens holiday party.

As further mentioned, this party features a guest from the North Pole. Also, the church hosts the Clark Lecture series and the Unfish Fry, as posted on the website.

Moreover, the website says the church opens all programs to the general public.

In addition, the church posted on another page that they create events that are “fun-raisers.” They pointed out that through these events, they could generate an income to support their budget.

The website highlighted some of their programs, such as the semi-annual auction, to support the general church budget. They added that they host yearly Trivia Night to support the church’s special projects, such as the Religious Education Boston Trip.

Vegetarian Benefits

The Better Health Channel website revealed that a well-balanced vegetarian dies could give a lot of health benefits. They pointed out that it could lessen the risk of critical illnesses such as obesity, coronary heart illness, and hypertension.

In addition, they said that having a vegan diet could reduce the risk of diabetes and some kinds of cancer.

According to the website, vegetarians could also have lower rates of diseases and death from degenerative illnesses.

More importantly, the website revealed that people could get protein from vegetables, a vital nutrient for many bodily processes. They explained that protein is composed of amino acids.

Vegan vs. Vegetarian Diet

The same website noted that a vegan diet is another kind of vegetarianism where they only eat plant foods. They said that people applying this diet avoid eating some food from animal sources.

As further explained, a vegan diet does not include eating seafood, dairy, and eggs, and sometimes they also avoid eating honey and gelatine.

On the other hand, the website said that vegetarian diets not included any meat or seafood. But, they mentioned many variations, like some people eating eggs and dairy products.
