Newsong Fellowship hosts Very Best Summer

Beginning June until August, Newsong Fellowship engages the family in Very Best Summer. The church and its family ministry embrace summer with fun time throughout the week.

As shared on Facebook, Very Best Summer is happening at Newsong Fellowship. The church encourages everyone to mark the dates for this series of events on their calendars.

Very Best Summer is an excellent opportunity for families to gather, show up, and be seen on a Sunday morning and throughout the week.

This series of events begins on June 5 with the Epic Summer Kick-Off at Airplane Park. There will be an Ice Cream Social on June 12 at the same venue.

Newsong Fellowship will join in the celebration of Juneteenth on June 18 at Esic Baptist. Then, Newsong will be the venue for Walkabout on Tuesday, June 28.

Very Best Summer will have Walkabout Family Fun on July 1 at Montclair Pool. This activity will begin the series of events for July.

Meanwhile, another Ice Cream Social is scheduled for July 10. This time it will be at Splash Pad.

Parent's Night Out on the last day of July will close the month for the Very Best Summer event. The venue is Newsong.

Finally, on Aug. 14, it's another Ice Cream Social at Glik Park.

About Newsong Fellowship

According to its webpage, Newsong Fellowship invites everyone to its living room. Service happens on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. The church hopes that everyone coming to their church's living room feels welcome and that they belong.

Newsong Fellowship's greatest hope is that all aspects of its service help provide an environment that allows individuals to come as they are. Moreover, each service will allow them to safely explore Jesus Christ regardless of where they are in their faith journey.

This faith community is located at 201 St. Louis St., Edwardsville. As stated on the website, Newsong Fellowship believes that the church is rooted and grounded in Jesus, as led by His Spirit, practicing spiritual disciplines, celebrating baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Furthermore, the church is the local and global expansion of living out the way of Christ as humanity embodies the resurrected Christ, who lives in and through everyone and participates with Him in the restoration of a broken and hurting world.

Newsong Fellowship believes the day is coming when Jesus Christ will return to judge the world, delivering an end to injustice and restoring all things to God's original intent. Furthermore, the church has faith that the Lord will reclaim and renew this world and reign forever.

As stated on the webpage, Newsong Fellowship believes that the Earth's groaning will cease, and the Lord will dwell with everyone here in a restored creation. Newsong Fellowship believes that as a community and as individuals, the Lord calls everyone to participate in His grand unfolding narrative of rescue, redemption, reconciliation, and restoration.

Dave Romoser is the Lead Pastor of Newsong Fellowship. Tim Giltner–Administrative Pastor, Lindsey Apple–Associate Pastor, and Grant Romoser–Claunch, who serves as Youth Pastor, join Pastor Dave in leading this faith community.
