White Flag Christian Church mission team works on project in Dominican Republic

White Flag Christian Church gave an update on its mission team in the Dominican Republic. The team is working on projects for the community. On May 31, the team arrived in Miami and was on their final leg to the Dominican Republic. 

White Flag Goes to Dominican Republic

As shared on Facebook, the mission team includes 20 high schoolers, college students, and staff from White Flag Christian Church and ten staff and youth from Greentree Christian Church. 

The church, through Facebook, also provided an update regarding the mission in the Dominican Republic. As stated in the update, White Flag Christian Church’s mission team has its hands full and has worked hard in the Dominican Republic over the past few days. 

The main goal of the mission team was to help build a new worship center on the second floor of the central church. The project included hauling four truck loads of sand up the stairs to make concrete, mixing the concrete, and then pouring the new pad. 

The mission team has also been working to build a storage area for the church’s construction equipment. White Flag Christian Church asked everyone to pray for this fantastic team. 

The church, through Facebook, also announced that Sports Camp registration for 2022 is open. The Sports Camp will be from July 11–14. According to White Flag Christian Church, kids will surely enjoy this camp with their newly added Water Days. The church provided a link for registration.

According to the church’s website, White Flag Christian works with various missionaries and organizations across the globe and within its community. Its missions include Covering House, GO Ministries, and Favor De Dios. 

Covering House offers refuge and restoration for sexually exploited or trafficked children or teens. This refuge and restoration utilize the least restrictive environment. 

Meanwhile, GO Ministries works with and equips local pastors who want to redeem people, renew their communities, and restore creation. As stated on White Flag Christian Church’s webpage, Ryan and Lori Sudsberry and their family are members of a team dedicated to planting 1,000 churches in the Caribbean over the next ten years.

Favor De Dios Centro Evangelistico ( The Favor of God Church) is located in Santa Elena Ecuador. White Flag Christian Church sponsored the planting of this new church in 2015. This church was established through a partnership with Compassion International and Stadia Church Planting. 

Through this partnership, White Flag Christian Church members funded the initial construction of the church. They also sponsored 250 children in the community.

White Flag Christian Church is located at 7531 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis. Worship happens on Thursdays at 7 p.m. and on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Since March 2008, Paul Wingfield has served as the Lead Pastor of this congregation. 

Pastor Paul is a graduate of Johnson University with a degree in Bachelors in Youth Ministry and Preaching and a Masters in New Testament. He is married to Julia and has two adult children.
