The same details of the event can be found on St. Martin's website.
Circle of Concern
As per its website, this organization serves west St. Louis County, a part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. Still, from its website, West County is also home to families struggling daily to make ends meet.
Many families experience underemployment, layoffs, illness, or injury, and some, because of age, find themselves urgently in need of help despite West County's prosperity.
The Circle of Concern helps these families and individuals. Primarily, this organization is a food pantry. It serves an estimated 2,000 individuals monthly and more than 1,200 households annually.
However, for this organization, feeding families is just the start. It offers financial support, scholarships, job mentoring, children's programs, and holiday events.
As shared on its website, all the efforts of Circle of Concern work together to help its clients, enabling them to utilize their limited resources to regain their financial footing.
About St. Martin's Episcopal Church
"Do Justice. Love. Mercy. Walk Humbly."
According to its website, St. Martin's Episcopal Church envisions its church being used by God to change lives, strengthen parishes, and transform the world. This faith community is located at 15764 Clayton Rd., Ellisville.
St. Martin's Episcopal Church is a warm, welcoming community. It is ready to invite everyone to share in its faith journey. As stated on its website, all services are based on the Book of the Common Prayer and considered "liturgical," which gives a stable format for the worship service.
Each service at St. Martin's includes prayer, Bible readings, sermons, and communion.
Aside from annually supporting Circle of Concern, St. Martin's also helps The Peace Meal project at St. John's Episcopal Church, Tower Grove. The Peace Meal provides a free community meal every Saturday evening.
It relies on metro area churches to field a team to prepare and serve meals. St. Martin's supports this effort by yearly fielding teams for four or five Saturdays.
The volunteers only need to prepare, serve, and share a meal with the clients. Volunteers also help with cleaning up.
Recipes and ingredients are provided.
