Christmas Caroling to Our Homebound
St. Paul's Lutheran Church went to its neighborhood and sang Christmas carols to members who could not attend church. The event was called "Christmas Caroling to Our Homebound," as shared through the church's Facebook page.
It invited its congregation to join its band of carolers and share a little Christmas joy on the doorsteps of its homebound members. These members were physically unable to attend Christmas services this year.
All interested in joining "Christmas Caroling to Our Homebound" were required to send an RSVP by Wednesday, Dec. 14. Participants gathered at the church for lunch, cookies, and hot cocoa.
Then, they were assigned into groups. The carolers visited a short list of nearby homes and care facilities. The youth group assembled blessing bags. Then, the carolers delivered the bags to the homebound members.
According to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, its congregation members live in all home settings. This also means that some members cannot come to church for Christmas.
Almost 100 members showed up to the event.
