Serve a Refugee Ministry

On the official calendar of events available on the official website of The Crossing Church, it is stated that this event is meant to support refugees of Oasis International through accomplishing a variety of tasks for each volunteer.
According to the same site, Oasis International is a South City-based non-profit organization whose aim is to love and care for refugees fleeing a war-torn country. It is also mentioned on the same website that they have experienced an influx of new families during the last several months.

The church is encouraging everyone to work and volunteer to assist the team and the community during the time help is needed the most.

Based on the same website, volunteers will be looking after children while their parents attend an Oasis program or they could be delivering donations to refugee families in the St. Louis area. There will also be the opportunity to help with the facility's organizing and cleaning.

It is mentioned on the same website that students who desire to serve without a parent or guardian must be 16 or older and complete and send the Parent Consent Form to the church via email. Adults must have a recent background check on file since everyone may be dealing with children or accessing homes.

The Crossing Church

According to the official website of The Crossing Church, they are a Bible-based non-denominational church in St. Louis. They blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service that gives everyone the opportunity to engage Jesus' message in practical and life-changing ways.

On the same website, it is also reported that the church began in 1989 with eight people who met in a homeroom to worship together. Their purpose was to provide a location where individuals might learn about Bible teachings, encounter Jesus' grace, and demonstrate tremendous love for others.

It is also mentioned on the same website that The Crossing Church began as "Windsor Crossing Community Church," and that even though its name has changed, its goals and ambitions have stayed the same since those early days when they are still holding services in the living room. It continues to be a gathering place for individuals from all walks of life to learn about Jesus.

According to the same website, with the guidance and supervision of their Lead Pastor Greg Holder, they now meet in bigger places on four campuses as well as in people's homes, dorm rooms, and coffee shops through live-streaming.

It is also stated on the same site that His visionary leadership and unique teaching style have helped The Crossing develop from a small 100-member church to a multi-site ministry with tens of thousands of followers.
