The Rock Church of St. Louis will be holding a Baptism event on the morning of Sunday, March 6, 2022.

According to the official calendar of events of The Rock Church of St. Louis, on Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the church will be organizing a baptism event. Those who are interested to be baptized can reach out to Pastor Timothy Cowin.

Importance of Baptism

On the official website of Grand Canyon University (GCU), Dr. Hector Llanes wrote an article about the importance of Baptism, and it is stated that a new believer in Christ requires a spiritual family, a family of trust in Jesus.

In the same article, it is also stated that people are considered brothers and sisters in Christ, and they need each other to develop their faith.

Being baptized, as mentioned in the same article represents the beginning of a journey of faith with the family of Christian believers. Baptism secures the Christian unity of brotherly love in service to God. Baptism was mentioned by Paul as one of the elements that unite a group of Christian believers.

According to the same article, it is also stated that Baptism has the characteristics of a public act. When a new believer is baptized, he or she is delivering a public testimony of his or her trust in Jesus in the presence of others who witness this public connection with Christ and the Christian church.

Referring to the same article, Jesus taught his disciples the necessity of practicing their religion both publicly and privately. Jesus pushed his followers to profess their faith in front of others and to walk as his disciples in front of others. Baptism allows the new believer to publicly declare to others that Jesus is Lord and Savior.

The Rock Church of St. Louis

On the official website of The Rock Church of St. Louis, it is stated that their Lead Pastor, Dr. Timothy Cowin, claims that the church wants to be more than a religious institution, they want to be a place where people will feel the amazing presence and power of God.

In relation to that, it is also stated on the same website that the major emphasis of the church's fellowship is their shared, common goal of assisting individuals to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

According to the official Facebook page of The Rock Church, they are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and multi-sited church. They have four campuses in St. Louis: Brentwood, Soulard, Lemay, and Ballwin, as well as the Japanese Church meeting in Brentwood.

It is also stated on their official website that the church believes that Christ-followers are persons who are developing three crucial links in their lives: their love for God, their love for His people, and their connection to God's mission in the world.

For additional information about the church–upcoming events, other activities, and programs, beliefs, and personnel, or other information about their campuses–visit their official website or any social media accounts for details and information.
