Union Avenue Christian Church hosted the members of Harvard Avenue Christian Church on July 22, Friday. The guest church went on a mission trip around St. Louis and visited Union Avenue Christian Church, among others.

Union Avenue Christian Church, through its Facebook page, shared that Harvard Avenue Christian Church is in St. Louis for a Mission Trip. The church was among the stops for the youth and adult groups from Harvard Avenue Christian Church.
As shared on Facebook, the church was grateful for the help extended to them by this group. Additionally, the group cleaned inside the church, as shown on the Harvard Avenue Christian Church Facebook page.
They also painted the beds in Union Avenue's natural dye garden. Union Avenue Christian Church stated how lucky it was that week to host the youth and adults from the church in Tulsa.
According to Union Avenue Christian Church, the Oklahoma Disciples created their mark with St. Louis Disciples, including MB Christian Church, Isaiah 58 Ministries, and Compton Heights Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Union Avenue Christian Church also shared that the group helped pack food at St. Louis Area Food Bank. Finally, they also worked at Lydia's House.

Its transitional housing program provides up to two years and is a vital link between emergency housing and safe, independent living. While living in transitional housing, clients undergo a period of healing.
They are provided with advocacy and resources necessary to establish hope and build self-independence. According to its website, Lydia's House is the only independent transitional housing found in eastern Missouri and among the largest in the U.S.
