White Flag Christian Church of St. Louis will be holding its weekly Celebrate Recovery on March 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
White Flag’s Celebrate Recovery
According to the calendar of events on its official website, White Flag will be holding its Celebrate Recovery session every Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
On the Celebrate Recovery section on their official website, it is stated that Celebrate Recovery is a biblically-based and well-balanced program that assists people in overcoming their hurts, hang-ups, and behaviors.
As mentioned on the same website, its format is similar to that of Alcoholics Anonymous, except it is based on Jesus' real teachings rather than psychiatric theory.
As per the same website, it is also mentioned that Celebrate Recovery began with 43 individuals at Saddleback Church 20 years ago. It was created as a program to assist persons in recovery from addictions by demonstrating the loving power of Jesus Christ via a rehabilitation process.
Today, as per the same website, Celebrate Recovery is in over 20,000 churches, and they are looking forward to seeing how God will use it at White Flag.
On the official website of Celebrate Recovery, it is stated that it is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery program for anybody dealing with suffering, hurt, or addiction of any type.
Celebrate Recovery, as described on the same website is a safe haven where people may discover community and liberation from the troubles that have taken control of their lives.
For those who are interested to know more about Celebrate Recovery, they can simply visit its official website and find their church partner near them.
White Flag Christian Church of St. Louis
According to the official Facebook page of White Flag Church, they strive to transform lives by creating enduring relationships between Jesus and His people via His words and the church community.
On its official website, it is stated that White Flag Church is a non-denominational Christian congregation dedicated to restoring the New Testament church as Christ created it. The church does not consider itself to be the exclusive Christian organization, but they do think that God desires all people to be Christians.
White Flag’s Seven Practices
According to the same website, the church thinks that convictions are meaningless unless they are translated into acts. Based on what the Bible says, the church also believes strongly in the following seven practices:
- The Bible is the only source of authority for the church.
 - Each local church is self-governing. The acknowledged head of the church is Christ, not any other person, institution, or religious body.
 - Every believer possesses a priesthood. According to the Bible, all Christians, regardless of profession, are called to "full-time" Christian service.
 - Giving. Tithing is conducted at White Flag in line with God's word for the sustenance of Christ's Body, the church.
 - Immersion. They practice baptism through immersion in water, precisely as Jesus and the Bible instructs.
 - Living according to the Spirit. The church believes that the only way to live the Christian life is via the power of God inside everyone.
 - It is every Christian's responsibility to share the good news of Christ with everyone God puts people in contact with.
