White Flag Christian Church of St. Louis is inviting their Student Ministries’ members to join their Momentum event on Feb. 23.

White Flag’s Momentum

According to the calendar of events on the official website of White Flag Christian Church of St. Louis, “Momentum” is a place where Middle School students may grow in their relationship with Christ and with one another.

It is also mentioned that Momentum promotes this by providing relevant Bible teaching, followed by small group discussions in which students discuss what they have just heard.

The church’s purpose for this event is for students to recognize God for who He is, to see themselves as God sees them, and to love others as He loves everyone. As per the same page, it is mentioned that concessions are provided for $1.00 - $2.00 every week when meeting in person.

White Flag Church of St. Louis

It is mentioned on the official Facebook page of White Flag Church that they aim to transform lives through building lasting connections between Jesus and His people through His words and the community of the church.

On their official website, it is stated that White Flag Church is a non-denominational Christian congregation working to restore the New Testament church as Christ founded it. The church does not consider itself to be the only Christians but they do believe that God wants all people to be Christians.

Seven Practices of White Flag

Referring to the same website, the church believes that beliefs have no value until they are transformed into actions. The church also believes passionately in the following seven practices based on what the Bible teaches:

  • The Bible is the church’s exclusive source of authority. They embrace the Bible as their living guidebook because God's Word is the only entirely credible and honest authority. The Bible is the foundation of all we believe.
  • Each local church has autonomy. Christ, not any person, institution, or religious organization, is the accepted head of the church. While the church recognizes the value of collaborating and associating with other Christian groups, they believe that each local church should be self-governing and independent of denominational control.
  • Every believer has a priesthood. The Bible says that every Christian, regardless of profession, is called to "full-time" Christian service. By encouraging every member to discover an area of service and ministry, they put into reality the principle that every Christian is a minister.
  • Giving. Tithing for the sustenance of Christ's Body, the church, is practiced at White Flag in accordance with God's word. White Flag understands that contributing 10% of their income is an Old Testament norm of giving and just a beginning point for all believers.
  • Immersion. They practice baptism through immersion in water, just as Jesus was, and as the Bible teaches.
  • Living by the Spirit. The church believes that the only way to live the Christian life is via God's power inside of everyone.
  • Informing others about christ is every Christian's job to communicate the good news with everyone God sends us into touch with. They practice personal Christ-centered sharing and inviting people to church.
