Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, organized several fall Bible studies this September, which began on Wednesday, Sept. 7, with Women of the Word.

Fall Bible Studies

Zion Lutheran Church announced the opportunities to dive into God's Word through its newsletter. It offers a variety of Bible studies and ways to immerse into the Scripture.

The church invited all to join its Fall Bible Studies. Zion Lutheran Church welcomes all to attend these gatherings of men and women. It requested everyone to spend time filling out the short it provided.

According to the church, the form will enable them to serve everyone and connect them with a group. The Women of the Word (Women's Ministry) started its September Bible study on Sept. 7.

The group meets every first and third Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The ladies at Zion Lutheran Church try to discover how the book of Hosea is a metaphor for God's love for humankind; His persistent, faithful, and continuous pursuit of His sinful people.

Woman of the Word tries to unravel the Lord's love through historical information, in-depth questions, theological insights, and contemporary stories.

Open Bible Studies at the church include Red Letter Challenge and Baptism: No Greater Jewel. The Red Letter Challenge small groups are Church-wide study and sermon focus.

Groups gather for Red Letter Challenge at various times throughout the week beginning Sept. 18. Zion Lutheran Church invited all to learn what it means to be Jesus' followers by studying his words.

It is a gathering to learn how to be listeners and doers of God's Word.

Another Open Bible study happening at the church is Baptism: No Greater Jewel.

Meetings occur on Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. and on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Participants started with this study on Thursday, Sept. 15.

The gathering will discover how special baptism is, the connection of one's baptism years ago to their life in Christ today, and learn how precious baptism is. Finally, this study aims to make participants fully understand and rejoice in their baptism in Christ more joyfully.

Senior Voters' Assembly

David Kniepkamp, MLG President, informed the congregation about a Special Voters' Assembly for calling a Senior Pastor for Zion Lutheran Church. According to Kniepkamp, the Call Committee had requested the Ministry Leadership Group to facilitate such an assembly.

He announced that the meeting would be on Sunday, Sept. 18, at noon in the Sanctuary.
