The church is encouraging everyone to not be hesitant to show off their natural and God-given beauties. This is the well-deserved rest the women needs since March is also known as Women’s History Month, and it is time to get comfortable.
It is also mentioned on the same website that women are encouraged to tie their hair back, put on their favorite sweatpants, and come as they are for the church will be giving away free face masks and selling extras if they want to take them home.
Childcare, as per the same website will be offered for children aged 0 to 4. So mothers do not have to completely worry about their children.
Women’s History Month
According to the official website of the Women’s History Organization, by presidential decree, March is designated as Women's History Month each year. The month is designated to recognize women's contributions to American history.
Women's History Month, as per the same website started as a small-town event in Santa Rosa, California. In 1978, the Education Task Force of the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women prepared and carried out a "Women's History Week" event.
In line with that, it is also mentioned that the week of March 8 was chosen by the organizers to coincide with International Women's Day. The next year, additional localities began their own Women's History Week events, and the trend expanded across the country.
Based on the same website, it is also stated that in 1980, the National Women's History Project (now the National Women's History Alliance) spearheaded a coalition of women's groups and historians in successfully lobbying for national recognition.
In accordance with that, President Jimmy Carter issued the inaugural Presidential Proclamation establishing March 8th, 1980 as National Women's History Week in February 1980.
Subsequent Presidents, as mentioned on the same website continued to proclaim a National Women's History Week in March until 1987, when Congress passed Public Law 100-9, designating March as "Women's History Month”.
According to the same website, between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March as "Women's History Month" each year. Since 1995, each president has made an annual proclamation proclaiming March to be "Women's History Month."
