The Jubilee Church in St. Louis City opened its registration on Friday, March 10, for Man Camp 2023.

The church’s Facebook page noted that the man camp would be a weekend conference for them to encounter Jesus. They stated that this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen one another and have fun.

They highlighted the Scripture from Proverbs 27:17, which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Besides, the church announced that those who registered earlier would get a gift.

According to the church’s website, they will hold the Man Camp 2023 from April 28 to April 29 at Ozark Outdoors Resort.

Moreover, they said they would give free t-shirts to those who registered earlier until March 29.

Community Groups

In another section, Jubilee Church explained that they believe that life is a “team sport.” They said that people need others to accomplish their purpose in Jesus.

The church highlighted that its Community Groups are an excellent opportunity to relate with others. They designed these groups for new members and those wanting a deeper relationship with God.

As further stated, living with people in a community is the only way to fight against loneliness and isolation. The Jubilee Church mentioned that they wanted to respond to the need for a community and the vital role they could play by participating in it.

More importantly, the website stated that the church believes they are meant to live and thrive in a community. According to the Scripture, they are being established into a spiritual house, and Jesus is their cornerstone.

The church studies how they could be a part of the house and the role they play.

Member of Confluence

Jubilee Church belongs to Confluence, a family of local churches that works together.

The Confluence website emphasized that Jesus never intended for them to accomplish the Great Commission alone. They revealed that leading or establishing a church in the West is as challenging as ever.

Leaders often feel preoccupied with a polarized culture, spiritual apathy, and a global crisis. The website added that often they feel like they need to be more committed. However, they stressed that it does not have to be that way.

The Confluence churches believe that they can do more with others rather than do it separately. They highlighted that they are a family of churches with one mission. They work to empower existing churches, establish healthy churches, and train leaders.

Moreover, they work with their family globally.

Response from Leaders

The same website posted some responses from leaders about Confluence. An NYC Church Planter admitted that trying to plant a church alone gives him discouragement and loneliness.

However, he mentioned that his brotherhood experience in Confluence made a lot of difference.

Another pastor from Confluence states that it seemed impossible for their church to engage their local church on a global mission. But being a member of a family like Confluence has opened them opportunities to participate in God’s global mission.

The website emphasized that God is at work in their local churches.
