Life Church of St. Louis has posted the schedule for its next Food Distribution event on March 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Life Church’s The Pantry
According to the official website of Life Church of St. Louis, The Pantry is a Life Church outreach project that serves families in Fenton, St. Louis, and the surrounding regions.
The Pantry, as mentioned on the same website is based on Biblical ideals of feeding the needy and reaching out to the community. The Pantry is a non-profit food pantry that provides a consistent and dependable source of food to individuals in need in Fenton and the neighboring regions.
On the same website, it is also stated that many people have fallen on hard times and understand what it is like to get food when it is most needed. Those in need might be their neighbors, friends, family, it can be everyone.
Their objective, as per the same website is to feed people in need in order to reach the hungry. Beginning in August 2020, one adult must be present in order to receive food.
In line with that, it is also stated on the same website that food is distributed twice a month by the Pantry. The sole prerequisite for receiving food is that the individual in need comes as they are. To obtain food, no income verification, tax information, or identification is necessary.
Volunteer for The Pantry
According to the same website, it is also stated that they are always in need of volunteers to help them with their mission.
Referring to the same website, it is also stated that they seek church, community, organization, and corporate volunteers to assist in feeding people in need. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Assisting with the collection of food from local food banks,
- Examining expiry dates,
- Getting ready to give away stuff, and
- Greeting those who come to the food handouts, among other things.
